THE STAGE IS SET FOR OLYMPIC LACROSSE

Olympic Sixes lacrosse now has a home. Last week, it was announced that The Stadium in Exposition Park will be the home of lacrosse for the 2028 Olympic Games. Nestled in the heart of Los Angeles, the venue is home to Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Football Club and the National Women’s Soccer League’s Angel City Football Club. Sixes lacrosse will be played at the stadium which will be shared with another new sport for 2028, flag football. This announcement is an exciting step forward in the journey to LA28, and will act as a tangible goal for future Olympic lacrosse stars.

Whilst we now have an Olympic venue, it is still unclear on what the qualification process will be for the 2028 Games. British Lacrosse men and women will be competing for places, and it is anticipated that a qualification tournament could take place in 2027.
