UK SPORT TO GRANT BRITISH LACROSSE OLYMPIC CYCLE FUNDING

In December it was announced that British Lacrosse will receive funding from UK Sport to support its aspirations for the LA2028 Olympic qualification. Where the money will be spent has yet to be outlined. A total of £330m in Government and National Lottery funding will go towards British Olympic and Paralympic sports for the 2028 cycle, with a total of £3m being invested in the five new/returning Olympic sports, including lacrosse. Leslie Rance, Chair of British Lacrosse has said that the announcement “marks a significant moment for British Lacrosse” and the investment “which recognises lacrosse as a dynamic, exciting and fast-evolving sport with the potential to make a significant impact at the Games” has been welcomed by British Lacrosse.
